The ID Buzz, might be based on the same car-focused underpinnings, but let’s be real here … it’s the spiritual successor to the Type 2 van — a model associated with flower power, hair shirts and the romance of having to get out and push on a steep coastal road. The ID Buzz GTX (7 seater) doesn’t so much do away with that image as blow it out of the sky with a Flakpanzer. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX is the flagship, high-performance, all-wheel-drive version of the retro-styled electric van.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX interior combines retro Kombi vibes with modern, sporty performance and cavernous space. The buzz is all about its unique balance of nostalgic design, high-end tech, and massive people-friendly utility. It boasts a 1.5 m2 Chromatic (glass) roof, and a 14 speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Mr BARVAL Wines
At Mr BARVAL we have an opportunity to meet the owner and winemaker at one of the regions genuine artisan wine producers and to embrace the magic and the story that lives within each glass!
It’s our drink of choice and its legacy has been passed down to us, Robert and Genevieve Mann. We’re husband and wife, heads and hearts of Corymbia, and part of one of the oldest and most influential families in the winemaking industry.
“Every now and then a new producer will pop up with wines that are really good, and ultimately vie for inclusion in the list of ten of the best new wineries in the next Companion….this is one new winery that will quite certainly be in the top 10, for its ranks among the best I can remember.”
– James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion.
AMATO Vino barrel work
Flowstone Wines is the creation of winemakers Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald, who craft small batches that reflect the spirit of Margaret River.
The food menu is regularly updated, with local produce making up the bulk of the offering. Think charred octopus with smoked almonds, saffron and cos; woodfired pizzas; a classic chicken schnitzel served with a lemon and parmesan sauce; and summer gnocchi with a velvety vermouth cream and kale. The menu focuses on smoke and fire, thanks to a well-aged recycled-brick oven.
‘AMATO Vino’ was established in 2003 by owner/winemaker Brad Wehr, the labels and wine styles have continued to grow, covering traditional Margaret River varietals through to some eclectic and unusual grape varieties and winemaking methods.
South by South West Wines is a contemporary, meandering négociant working in an age-old profession. Their fruit is sourced independently from a loyal network of pioneering growers, and the results are small batches of unique and ever-changing styles, varietals, and blends that highlight the charm of the south west region.
