THE WEATHER, WHAT TO EXPECT?

When i was researching my 3D2N Margaret River wineries tour I contacted a number of drivers/guides. It was immediately clear that Rob was a cut above the rest, in terms of his knowledge of wines & wineries (20+ years of experience himself in the wine industry), access to small batch artisanal winemakers, and knowing the best restaurants, accommodations in the area. TL;DR is if you are serious about your wines and making the most of your limited time Margaret River then you want Rob to be your guide & designated driver. Before our trip, I liased with Rob over e-mail, planning our itinerary of wineries & restaurants together. Once settled, Rob took care of all the reservations and sent me a PDF of the itinerary broken down daily. Rob picked us up each day from our hotel in a luxury sedan, and at each winery, he would accompany us in to hand us off to the hosts. It was warming to see how respected Rob was by the locals at our hotel & destinations. Rob also made sure to keep us on schedule… harder than it looks! And he’s relatable - he’s Aussie, he’s British, he lived in HK for decades! We had an amazing time and anytime we get asked about Margaret River now Rob gets an immediate mention.

We booked a 4-hour Wine Tour with Rob, and what a great experience! He is an excellent guide, knows the area and its history, customs and wildlife. He smoothed the way for us at the wineries and made sure we got VIP treatment. There was always something to talk about with him while he drove smoothly and carefully from winery to winery.

I had never been to the Margaret River area before and wanted to find someone that knew the wines, knew the winemakers and could get us into the right places. Rob Dewar was a great find and an engaging travel coordinator. We were introduced to terrific wines and met the winemakers behind them. This was a real treat for me. And it's not a canned trip; it's completely bespoke. The key is communication so that Rob can design the experience that you want. I recommend him!
